Mandy McCarthy (Chair) is passionate about people and her community. She believes that our lives should be a testimony of the goodness of God to the world around us. Mandy and her 11 year old son are alumni’s of Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg/Rockingham. It is through her experience with them that, when she saw the need of housing for homeless single mothers in Warren County, she brought the idea to another community leader. From there Bridge of Hope Greater Warren was born! Mandy has served as the Chairwoman for the board of directors ever since. Outside of her time at Bridge of Hope Greater Warren, Mandy works as a Prevention & Wellness Specialist at Northwestern Community Services Board. Where she collaborates regionally in efforts to prevent suicide, substance misuse and promote mental wellness. In the town of Front Royal, she serves as the Chairwoman of the Board of Zoning Appeals. Mandy also stays very active in her church community at Dynmaic life, gardening, nature, home projects, and cheering on her amazing son at all of his sports events. Mandy has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from James Madison University.


Lori Oaks (Vice Chair) is a dedicated real estate agent serving the vibrant communities of central and northern Virginia. With a passion for transforming properties, Lori specializes in rehabbing houses, bringing new life to homes and neighborhoods. Her commitment to community extends beyond real estate as she serves as the vice chairperson for the Bridge of Hope Greater Warren, advocating for and supporting those in need. In addition to her real estate work and community involvement, Lori is the creative force behind the annual Christmas Light competition known as the Front Royal Light Fight. Through this festive event, she brings joy and holiday spirit to her community, uniting neighbors and spreading cheer. Before diving into the real estate world, Lori devoted her career to education and family support. With a background in teaching first grade and kindergarten in the public school system, she honed her skills in communication, empathy, and problem-solving. Later, she worked closely with families with children on the autism spectrum, demonstrating her compassionate nature and dedication to making a difference in people’s lives. Outside of her professional endeavors, Lori finds solace in the company of her family. She is happily married to Greg Oaks and is the proud mother of two young men. In her leisure time, Lori enjoys the simple pleasures of reading and taking walks, finding inspiration and rejuvenation in nature.


Pastor Ingrid Chenoweth (Treasurer) serves as Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Front Royal. Ingrid is passionate about helping kids and enjoys being outdoors, especially on our beautiful Shenandoah River. Her hobbies include reading British murder mysteries, kayaking, and playing with her grandkids. She has an MDiv from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary/Lenoir Rhyne, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Queens University.


Nina Politz Thayer (Secretary) was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. She attended Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and finished her Bachelor of Science in Public Administration with a Minor in Criminal Justice at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Nina spent her whole career in Warren County, Virginia. She began working as a Juvenile Probation Officer and ended her career as an Adult Probation Officer. Nina is currently enjoying retirement by co-owning C & C Frozen Treats. Nina has a deep love for Warren County, Virginia.


Pat Moore has been a part of the Warren County community for over 20 years. She owns her own business as a LegalShield consultant and enjoys serving and supporting small business owners. Pat currently serves as the President of the Winchester Area Society of Human Resource Management (WASHRM). Her passion is to help others so she considers being on the board for the Bridge of Hope a true blessing!


Gabriel Dubin has lived in the greater Warren area most of his life. Gabriel received a bachelors of business management from Shenandoah University. Raised by a single mother, he knows the challenges that can arise. Gabriel is passionate about Warren County and his community.
